  • 1. In the Sadness of Their Homes (07:07)
     copy
Their shadows burn against the sun.
Their horses run, their horses run.
    Acidic oceans bountiful.
The trees are ripe with rotten fruit.

In the sadness of their homes,
they shout into the cracks in the walls.
    You can hear it in their songs;
    the sadness of their homes.

They feel it in their bones,
they sing of a future past and gone.
    They weave it into songs;
    the sadness of their homes.

    Dark structures
    Stretch heavenward,
    thick are the clouds
    that cloak the mountain tops.

    Structures of steel,
    basalt towers.
    Thick are the clouds
    that cloak our minds

In the sadness of our homes,
we shout into the cracks in the walls.
    You can hear it in our songs;
    the sadness of our homes.

The fires in their bones will guide them home.
The sadness in their songs will then be gone.
  • 2. Words of Creation (06:22)
     copy
There, in the corner of existence
    you are hidden,
    although you shine.
    Illuminate this habitat,
you are felt like the wind.

    Silent voices in the air
    sing the words of creation.
Like the tides of the sea,
they are felt as the waves.

    The path seems long
    for you have stalled,
    but ask for nothing
    and receive all.

    As the sun rises here
    it sets there,
    equal in its splendor.
  • 3. Allt sem áður heilagt var (05:36)
     copy
    Allt sem aður heilagt var
er horfið, er grafið. En hvar?

    Heðan sleppur enginn!
    Þeir deyja sem reyna!

    Þeir deyja sem að reyna,
    en þeir reyna það samt
þo þeir komist ekki i burtu.
Og þeir reyna og þeir reyna,
    og þeir reyna svo margt,
    en þeir eru alltaf fastir

    Hefurðu seð þa þramma
    afram, aftur og fram?
Seð þa mara i sælu og sorg?
Eins og is i halfu kafi.

    Hefurðu seð
    þorra þeirra eigingjornu gjorða?

Horfið, grafið, brennt og skemmt og eyðilagt!

    Allt er glatað!
  • 4. Ocean of Dreams (07:08)
     copy
    She sits by the sea
    because he is out there
    His gaze, distant and cold,
    she is veiled in sorrow.

    How big are the oceans?
    How far can you drift?
Her heart is an inland sea
where he has set his sails

    His mind the Arctic Ocean
For her to weather the storms.
    Who tends the fire?
    Who shines a light?
    High in the frozen mountains
above the sleeping lands that see no light.
    They wade the waves,
    the waves of time

    I fall into your eyes,
    deep inside the skies,
    Show no fear and dive,
    for you!

More info

«Basalt Towers»: A monumental effigy of sound and ash, where steel frameworks pierce the heavens, and leaden clouds shroud both the peaks and the mind.

This album exhales the scent of acidic oceans and putrid fruit, depicting a world ensnared in an eternal quest for the path home.

Within frigid Arctic reaches and shadows scorched by the sun, there lies the primal anguish of those entombed within fracturing walls.

Here, grandeur borders utter ruin: while some drown in ego and glacial apathy, others hunt for a flicker of light within the shimmer of remote stars and the murmur of the tides.

All that was once held sacred has been consigned to the flames and interred, yet amidst the debris, an ancient hymn of creation still resonates.

This is a bleak ode to those who persist in breaking free from the snare, even as the ways out are severed and time morphs into inexorable waves.

Prepare to cross the threshold of this dark citadel and feel the bite of the frozen wind as it drifts through the basalt columns.
